Request a Preliminary Forensic Audio Assessment

Confidential initial contact for recorded evidence, voice material and forensic audio questions

To request a preliminary forensic audio assessment, email info@audioforensicexpert.eu or use WhatsApp for a brief initial inquiry. A concise description of the technical issue, the material available and any genuine deadline is sufficient for the first message.

You do not need to identify the correct examination in advance. If the request is technically suitable, the initial review is used to determine which service and material are relevant before substantive work begins.

Initial inquiries normally receive a reply within 24–48 business hours. This is the expected first-response time, not the turnaround time for a forensic examination.

The initial contact is handled by Roberto Ruggeri. Digital-file matters can be organized remotely for international and cross-border clients and legal teams outside Italy.

Last substantive review: 27 August 2026

What to Include in the First Message

The first message only needs enough information to understand the request. Avoid sending unnecessary personal or case details at this stage.

  • Technical issue: what needs to be clarified, checked or documented.
  • Material available: a brief indication of the type and approximate amount of audio or video material.
  • Timing: any genuine legal, investigative or operational deadline.

Detailed preparation guidance for file versions, timestamps, transcripts, video material, conversions and reference samples is kept on the Audio Forensics FAQ. If the technical route is unclear, use the Forensic Audio Services selector.

Sending Files and Confidential Material

Email is preferable for detailed or documentable requests. WhatsApp is suitable for a short first contact or for asking how material should be transferred. Confidential recordings, large archives and technical documentation should not be sent through chat before the transfer method has been agreed.

Names and personal details that are not necessary can be omitted from the first message. State in advance if the material is subject to an NDA or requires specific handling. General data-handling information is available in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Technical principles for preservation, working copies, hashes, traceability and derived files are intentionally kept on the Forensic Audio Methodology page rather than repeated here.

What Happens After the Initial Contact

  1. Initial review: the technical issue, available material and deadline are considered.
  2. Technical route: the relevant examination and any additional material needed are identified.
  3. Scope: if the matter is suitable, activities, deliverables, timing and operating conditions are agreed before substantive work begins.

Sending an inquiry does not itself constitute a forensic opinion, acceptance of an assignment or a formal engagement. The scope is defined separately before technical work begins.

International Remote Contact

Digital-file matters can be handled remotely for international and cross-border clients, law firms, investigators, companies and private parties outside Italy. Any need for physical attendance, acquisition or another location-dependent activity is assessed separately.

Italian-language matters and work primarily intended for the Italian legal context are handled through AudioForense.eu.
